Karnataka Stamp (Second Amendment) Act, 2007
An Act further to amend the Karnataka Stamp Act, 1957. Whereas, it is expedient further to amend the Karnataka Stamp Act, 1957 (Karnataka Act 34 of 1957), for the purposes hereinafter appearing. Be it enacted by the Karnataka State Legislature in the Fifty-eighth year of the Republic of India, as follows:-
Karnataka State Civil Services (Regulation Of Transfer Of Teachers) Act, 2007
An Act to provide for regulation of transfer of teachers so as to ensure the availability of teachers in Government schools and Pre-University Colleges in rural areas. Whereas, it is expedient to provide for regulation of transfer of teachers so as to ensure the availability of teachers in Government schools and Pre-University Colleges in rural areas and for the matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. Be it enacted by the Karnataka State Legislature in the Fifty-eighth year of the Republic of India as follows:-
Karnataka Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation Of Admission And Fixation Of Fee) (Special Provisions) Act, 2007
An Act to provide for recognition of the consensual agreement entered into between the State Government and the Private Unaided Educational Institutions imparting Professional Educational Courses and for other matters, as provided in the judgment of the Supreme Court of India in P.A. Inamdar and Others v State of Maharashtra and Others, 2005(5) Kar. L.J. 161 (SC) : (2005)6 SCC 537. Whereas, the State Government to protect the interest of the students of Karnataka domicile and students belonging to educationally and socially backward classes, have entered into a consensual agreement with the Private Unaided Professional Educational Institutions during the year 2007-08 and felt that the Karnataka Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Determination of Fee) Act, 2006, be kept in abeyance for the academic year 2007-08 and for the purposes hereinafter appearing. Be it enacted by the Karnataka State Legislature in the Fifty-eighth year of the Republic of India
Karnataka Excise (Amendment) Act, 2007

Indian Police Service (Pay) Rules, 2007
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the All India Services Act, 1951 (61 of 1951) and in supersession of the Indian Police Service (Pay) Rules, 1954, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government after consultation with the Governments of the States concerned, hereby makes the following rules, namely:-
Karnataka Public Service Commission (Conditions of Service) (Amendment) Regulations, 2008
In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 318 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Karnataka, hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the Karnataka Public Service Commission (Conditions of Service) Regulations, 1957, namely:-
Karnataka Co-operative Societies (Amendment) Rules, 2008
Whereas, the draft of the Karnataka Co-operative Societies (Amendment) Rules, 2007 was published as required by sub-section (1) of Section 129 of the Karnataka Co-operative Societies Act, 1959 (Karnataka Act 11 of 1959), in Notification No. CO 238 CLM 2007, Bangalore, dated 4th December, 2007, in Part FV-A of the Karnataka Gazette, Extraordinary, dated 4-12-2007, inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby within thirty days from the date of its publications in the Official Gazette. And whereas, the said Gazette was made available to the public on 4-12-2007. And whereas, the objections and suggestions have been considered by the State Government. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 129 of the Karnataka Co-operative Societies Act, 1959 (Karnataka Act 11 of 1959), the Government of Karnataka hereby makes the following rules, namely:-
Karnataka Excise (Sale of Indian and Foreign Liquors) (Amendment) Rules, 2007
Whereas, the draft of the following rules further to amend the Karnataka Excise (Sale of Indian and Foreign Liquors) Rules, 1968 was published as required by sub-section (1) of Section 71 of the Karnataka Excise Act, 1965 (Karnataka Act 21 of 1966), in Notification No. FD 17 PES 2007, dated 19-12-2007, in Part IV-A of the Karnataka Gazette, Extraordinary, dated 19-12-2007, inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby within thirty days from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. And whereas, the said Gazette was made available to the public on 19th December, 2007. And whereas, no objection and suggestion have been received in respect of the said draft by the State Government. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 71 of the Karnataka Excise Act, 1965 (Karnataka Act 21 of 1966), the Government of Karnataka hereby makes the following rules, namely:-
Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) (Amendment) Rules, 2007
Whereas, a draft of the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) Rules, 1971 was published as required by sub-section (1) of Section 19 of the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 23 of 1964), in Notification No. HD 7 CNA 2007, dated 22-10-2007 and published in Part IV-A of the Karnataka Gazette, Extraordinary, dated 21st November, 2007, inviting objections and suggestions from any person likely to be affected thereby within thirty days from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. Whereas, the said Gazette was made available to the public on 21-11-2007. And whereas, no objections or suggestions have been received by the State Government. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 19 of the Karnataka Cinemas (Regulation) Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 23 of 1964), the Government of Karnataka, hereby makes the following rules, namely:-
Karnataka Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation of Allotment of Property in Market Yards) (Amendment) Rules, 2008
Whereas, the draft of the following Rules further to amend the Karnataka Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation of Allotment of Property in Market Yards) Rules, 2004, which the Government of Karnataka propose to make in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (2) of Section 9 read with Section 146 of the Karnataka Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act, 1966 (Karnataka Act No. 27 of 1966) was published as required by sub-section (1) of the said section in Notification No. CD 321 MRE 2007, dated 13-1-2007 appeared in Part IV-A of Karnataka Gazette, dated 16-11-2007, inviting objection and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby within 30 days from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. Whereas, the said Gazette was made available to public on 16-11-2007. And whereas, no suggestions and objections have been received by the State Government within the specified period. Whereas, the draft of the following rules further to amend the Karnataka Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1957, was published as required by clause (a), sub-section (2) of Section 3 of the Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990), in Notification No. DPAR 15 SDE 2007, dated 1-1-2008, in Part IV-A of the Karnataka Gazette, Extraordinary (P.R. No. 9), dated 2-1-2008, inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby within fifteen days from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. Whereas, the said Gazette was made available to the public on 2-1-2008. And whereas, no objections and suggestions have been received in this behalf by the State Government. Whereas, the draft of the Karnataka Education Department Services (Department of Public Instructions) (Recruitment) (Amendment) Rules, 2006 was published as required by clause (a) of sub-section (2) of Section 3 of the Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990), in Notification No. ED 685 SEW 2005, dated 19-12-2007 in Part IV-A of the Karnataka Gazette, Extraordinary, dated 26-12-2007, inviting objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be affected thereby within fifteen days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. And whereas, the said Gazette was made available to public on 26-12-2007. And whereas, no objection and suggestion have been received by the Government. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 3 read with Section 8 of the Karnataka State Civil Services Act, 1978 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1990), the Government of Karnataka makes the following rules, namely:-

Whereas, the said Gazette was made available to the public on 1-12-2007. And whereas, no objections or suggestions have been received by the State Government. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 197 of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 12 of 1964), the Government of Karnataka, hereby makes the following rules, namely:-
Karnataka Value Added Tax (Amendment) Rules, 2008
Whereas, the draft of the following Rules further to amend the Karnataka Value Added Tax Rules, 2005 was published as required by sub-section (1) of section 88 of the Karnataka Value Added Tax Act, 2003 (Karnataka Act 32 of 2004) in Notification No. FD 426 CSL 2007, dated 26th November, 2007, in the Karnataka Gazette (Extraordinary) No. 2052, dated 26th November, 2007, inviting objections or suggestions from all the persons likely to be affected thereby, and notice was given that the said draft will be taken into consideration after fifteen days from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. And, whereas the said Gazette was made available to the publication 26th November, 2007.
